The Sumter County School Board recognized Take Stock in Children for the 2018 Commissioner’s Business Recognition Award (CBRA).
Each year, thousands of businesses of all types and sizes make heroic contributions to help schools. In partnership with Florida’s district school superintendents and the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the Sumter County School Board recognized the exemplar of business involvement with the Commissioner’s Business Recognition Awards (CBRA). The 2018 Commissioner’s Business Recognition Awards (CBRA), presented by Wells Fargo, was integrated with the Florida Chamber Foundation’s Annual Education Summit at the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel in Tampa, Florida.
Take Stock in Children has assisted over 800 Lake and Sumter County students with tuition scholarships. The Mission of Take Stock in Children is to provide students and their families’ inspiration through mentoring, support and scholarships by empowering them to achieve their dreams of an education beyond high school. The comprehensive services start in middle school, continue through high school and include their transition into college.
