Painting the county red, the annual Red for Ed campaign wrapped up it’s school supply and canned food drive on Monday, August 31st. The drive raised over six thousand pounds of school supplies for schools in Lake County.
The supplies will be distributed to the teachers directly through the Educational Foundation of Lake County’s Apple-Mart program, which allows teachers to shop for free for supplies needed for their classroom.
The Educational Foundation is a non-for-profit organization that is the direct support organization for Lake County Public Schools. Our mission is to serve as the connection between our community and public education, evaluating needs and securing resources to enhance the quality of education.
