Red Apples Riders club check presentation

The “Red Apples Riders” club has been formed at three Lake County Schools – Leesburg Elementary, Beverly Shores Elementary, and Rimes Early Learning Center. Red Apples Media, with its largest single donation in its 14 year history, the Education Foundation, and the Lake County School district have funded the All Kids Bike program which provides 24 bikes, helmets, and instruction for PE teachers to teach kindergarteners how to safely and confidently operate a bike at each of those three schools.

Aimed at increasing attendance and outdoor activity among our students, this new club will provide a great opportunity to encourage students to attend school each day. It will also promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Less and less children are riding their bicycles outside, but they now have the learning capability to be great riders.
