Communication and Events Specialist
As a Lake County Schools graduate and daughter of a former teacher, working for the Education Foundation was a no brainer. I have worked with the Education Foundation since 2017, but was officially hired in 2018. I have worked with Take Stock in Children scholars and now work as the Communication and Events Specialist. The best part of my job is that every day is something different and you never know what to expect. I loved growing up in Lake County and even attending Lake-Sumter State College for both my AA and BAS-OM degrees.
Outside of the Foundation, I am a mom to two great kiddos and a wife to a former New Yorker. I am an avid reader and spend my free time crafting or hanging out with my kiddos and family. My favorite event that the Foundation does is our Stepping Out for Education fundraiser. Not only do I get to see the before and after rehearsals, but I love getting all dressed up for two nights of fun. My second favorite event we put together is the Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire. As a fantasy book lover (thank you Harry Potter) I love putting together the Shrewsbury Village and seeing it go from nothing to weekends of fun.
